Time to be more hardworking!!!

So much that have been missed out here! 1 of which was our 1st stage appearance at pet expo! It was really nervous for me but not so for the girls. hahaha. (so embarrassing) I think nn did really well. She seemed so natural facing thousands of people and the microphone. haha.. Next time, I shall let her do all the talking!

And we also held our largest golden retriever gathering with a total of 102 golden retrievers in Singapore Book of Record. Actually.. there were 116 according to the GRC record. All because of the jam at the carpark! Some even u-turned! =( I also received message saying they were too late and missed Amber. May the next one be a even better one! =)

I really hope to upload a lot of photos of the event BUT BUT BUT I couldn't be the photographer for my girls on that day.. Major sad for me. Next time! I must drag my photographer friend to help me! hahaha..

Swimming at Mutts and Mitten

After Upetgamart shifted to the West, the nearest doggy swimming pool is Mutts and Mitten. It's located at Pasir Ris Farmway 2. (Opp Pet Hotel)

Minimum age for dog swimming is at 5 months old and puppies must have 3 completed vaccinations. Use of pool will be 10am - 5pm

It is quite expensive at $10 per half an hour per dog which doesn't include shower. Their charges for shower is according to weight. For Amber's size (21-30kg) and her long coat, it would cost me $25 to just shower her. So.... I think it's better for me to shower her at home.

However at their rate, we had exclusive use of the pool. Good for Audi and Amber's dating! haha (Booking in advance is needed) The pool is big and clean enough for bb and nn to have fun too. And I think it's really cool to be able to swim together with the furries. hehe

One thing I really really don't like about this pool is the super slippery sides. It's tiled so the dogs kept slipping even when they were just walking. And Amber, she doesn't go down the water by the stairs. She jumps for her toys so... it is very bad for her hips =( I wish they can do somthing about the pool sides.

Other than that, there were also a lot of barking because the pool is just beside the kennels. Amber wasn't affected by their barking and they stopped after a while, so it's fine with me I guess.

Next I will trying the K9 Kulture at Turf City. It's very far.... but I will give it a try I guess. If only... if only there are more doggy swimming pools.

Actually developers should consider this for their condo projects! It's such a good idea to have a doggy pool in their condo premises! Better will be a garden for the pets. Then the furries can have gatherings everyday! Dog friendly condos.. will there be? =)

Mz : there she goes again.. photos before every treat...

It's Tuesday and it's Paw pet-radise off day. Yet we were there having our "secret date" and it's my favourite. Steamboat!! yum! It's just heavenly to have great companies, great food and the furries were there enjoying themselves.

HuiJin also specially prepared my favourite lava cake! The flowing chocolate with the Vanilla ice cream, I just have to bug her to make it again! haha.

Pillow's stayover

A friend of mine asked if she could leave her dog with me a several days. It's the first dog after mm that I helped to take care. And it's a small dog. To be more specific, it's a small cute dog. I am not a fan of small dogs but she really looks like a little princess. Moreover, she likes to stay really close to people so bb and nn were quite excited with her stayover.

Indeed every night, both of them argued who Pillow slept with. And guess what, she is most clingy to me. She slept ON me. haha. But she is so small that I was afraid that we may squash her in our sleep. Lucky.. we didn't. She is still fine, she is still in one piece. haha

And... we were all deceived by her princessy look. She was a real chilli padi! She kept barking at Amber and got so angry with the toy that even Amber was wondering if she was ok. And I think Amber was a little scared of her craziness. lol..

Anyway, it marked the end of her stayover and I think bb and nn will miss her. Bye bye Pillow.. See you soon....

Mooncakes for Amber! =)

This is the 2nd mid autumn festival that Amber will be spending with us but it's the 1st that she has her own mooncakes!  Thanks to Barkhaus =)

I brought it to share with her furry friends and they were practically crazy over the durian snowskin mooncake. Well of course, it's real durian flesh. I nearly took a bite too. haha

School holiday is ending =(

Rained rained rained for many days this week. And it's school holiday!!! Amber and the girls didn't get to go walk till these 2 days and holiday is already ending =(

Actually sometimes it's quite tedious walking Amber with the 2 girls because nn always want me to carry her and she is not light. lol. But still, I treasure every minute and seconds with them. Soon, we will have the one month December holiday! Gonna plan for some fun activities together =)

Amber's daily diet

Rain or shine, visiting the market has become my weekly routine. Ever since Amber was 4 months, I introduced raw diet to her. I personally have strong preference on fresh meat rather than kibbles or canned food. I want to at least know what Amber is taking in. Kibbles are afterall processed in factories by people I don't know. Sound like cup noodles to me if I were to put it in human form. lol. But ya, that's just my personal opinion. No right or wrong in giving fresh meat or kibbles, cooked or raw

As for Amber's raw diet, I give her meat, organs and bones based on 2% of her weight. 80% meat + 10% organs + 10% bones. Actually some people maybe surprised, giving fresh meat is cheaper than kibbles. (kibbles as in quality brands) I spend less than $100 on her meals a month. I am not sure about other markets but the one I frequent always give me free organs. =) If there is leftover, I will just put them in my dehydrator to make treats for Amber.
